Notes apps are where ideas go to die.
It’s either a graveyard of note dumps in Apple Notes, or the homework of Notion to note down a single fleeting thought. No notes app is designed specifically to store and organize ideas over time.

Brainbits is the notes app for ideas you’re building.
Save everything, organize thinking, and find it when it matters.
Capture an idea as a quick note, voice or text, and it’s saved locally in seconds. In the background, Brainbits grows your notes into clean topic pages, so when you come back you’re not sifting through notes, you’re reading a structured page of the idea you had.

Main product flow. Save Notes inside Projects by typing or dictating, and turn those Notes into Pages — auto-maintained documents sourced from your Notes.

Pages were introduced as Brainbits’s native way of surfacing user ideas. They are derived from the user’s Notes, and an AI agent keeps them updated over time. This flow replaced an older version of Brainbits that only had Notes and Chat; user observation showed that just storing Notes was not sufficient — users needed useful surfaces that could help them make sense of their ideas over time. Pages became that surface.

On-device FTS5 search and cloud-run chat. Initially, Brainbits did not have a search feature, just a chat. The goal was to keep things very simple with just two features. This, however, created huge latency for users that already knew their keyword and just wanted a quick answer. So, V3 prioritised on-device search as the core user job for discovery, and chat would compliment it by filling in the gaps that search could not accommodate for (multi-hop reasoning, etc.).
